Cooking Music is a "sauce synthesiser", created using MaxMSP and arduino using a variety of different sauces, oils and some vegetables as variable resistors. Due to the difference in electrical conductivity of the various liquid medium, the sauces are used as an input for the additive synthesiser.

Four sauces are connected to control the waveforms (sine, saw, square, triangle), four other sauces are used to control the ADSR (attack, decay, sustain, release) envelope. [br][br]

The wires are attached to metal cutleries to interface with the sauces as a humorous design gesture so that the DJ using the sauce synth will be like a cook "cooking" and mixing sauces.
